My poem, Sa Karimlan, is part of High Chair’s 23rd issue. The this was inspired by a mixture of political events in the Philippines: the Marcos burial, extrajudicial killings, to name a few.

I write from the heart. Every word put on paper is an attempt to be heard. Most of the time, it feels like no one reads or appreciates my work. Tonight, stars aligned for me. I witnessed my poem It Has Been be used in the finale of We Choose to Go to the Moon. As it was being delivered on-stage, I found myself quivering and filled with tears. Who would’ve thought that the piece I wrote from a personal experience would end up perfectly complementing the plot of a play? Kudos to Project Mayheim Productions for the superb performance! Thank you for the ride to the moon 🙂
Back in 2009, I wrote a poem entitled “The Real Wonderland” as tribute to Van Gogh is Bipolar (VGIB). One random afternoon this year, it magically morphed into a song. Now it is referred to as The Van Gogh is Bipolar Theme PoemSong. Here’s the video from Ideastalk.ph:

Below is the full text of the poem. If you have a keen eye, you’ll find this in one of the shelves of VGIB 🙂 (Send me a message or tag me if you see it!)
